Suicidality
We have emotions for a reason.
They are like messengers, trying to deliver important information. For them to go away we must attend to what they are trying to tell us, not necessarily the urges we have with them, but rather their underlying purpose. With suicidality, this usually means that our life is not how we want it to be, and we cannot see how it can be different or how we can cope with it if it is not different. At Centered Ground, with dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), our goal is to help you build a life worth living. This can include both radical acceptance and distress tolerance, as well as mindfulness. No matter what, this is possible. Together we can take those steps even when you feel like you just can't. As part of the process, coaching is available between sessions, overnight and on the weekend. We are here and committed to persisting with you through this process of overcoming.
